Wilkins-Roche Herdsman Scholarship

Recognizing Excellence

The Wilkins-Roche Herdsman Scholarship was established to honor the uncommon commitment that Coaches Doug Wilkins and Charlie Roche have made to the development of outstanding character in the young men that have participated in the Mountain Lakes High School HERD football program. By establishing a program that has principally emphasized integrity, courage, fortitude, honesty, and loyalty, they have contributed enormously to the education and development of these student-athletes. The recipients of the scholarship are Herdsmen that best exemplify these high standards of character.

2026 Wilkins-Roche Herdsman Scholarship Golf Outing

Join us for the 2026 Wilkins-Roche Herdsman Scholarship Golf Outing on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Rockaway River Country Club.

Held each fall to kick off Mountain Lakes Homecoming Weekend, the Wilkins-Roche Herdsman Scholarship Golf Outing brings together alumni, parents, coaches, and friends of the Mountain Lakes HERD football community for a day of golf, camaraderie, and giving back.

The outing is the primary fundraiser for the Wilkins-Roche Herdsman Scholarship Fund, with proceeds directly supporting annual scholarships awarded to graduating seniors who exemplify the character, leadership, and spirit of the Mountain Lakes “HERD” Football tradition.

We look forward to seeing you on the course for a great day in support of the next generation of HERD leaders.
