The Wilkins-Roche Herdsman Scholarship was established to honor the uncommon commitment that Coaches Doug Wilkins and Charlie Roche have made to the development of outstanding character in the young men that have participated in the Mountain Lakes High School HERD football program. By establishing a program that has principally emphasized integrity, courage, fortitude, honesty, and loyalty, they have contributed enormously to the education and development of these student-athletes. The recipients of the scholarship are Herdsmen that best exemplify these high standards of character.

About the Wilkins-Roche Herdsman Scholarship Golf Outing
The Wilkins-Roche Herdsman Scholarship Golf Outing is the primary fundraiser for the Herdsman Scholarship program.
Held each fall to kick off Homecoming Weekend, the outing brings together alumni, parents, coaches, and friends of the Mountain Lakes HERD football community for a day of golf, camaraderie, and giving back.
Proceeds from the event directly fund annual scholarships awarded to graduating seniors who exemplify the character, leadership, and spirit of the Mountain Lakes Football tradition.
Join us this year on Friday, September 26th, 2025 and help continue this important tradition of support!

Corporate Golf Sponsorship Packages:
Golf Event Sponsor – $3,250 (limited availability)
• 4 golf playing spots
• Lunch buffet and awards reception

Corporate Event (Non-Playing) Sponsorship Packages:
Awards Reception Sponsor – $5,000
• Company name on signage at the awards reception: “Presented by [Your Company]”
• Verbal recognition during opening announcements and the awards reception
• Opportunity to provide branded giveaways to attendees (e.g., hats, polos, gift bags)
• Company logo and link to your website
Beverage Sponsor – $2,500
• Featured branding on beverage coolers and drink stations throughout the course
• Opportunity to provide company-branded koozies, cups, or napkins to increase brand visibility

Contest Hole Sponsor – $1,500
• Contest tee box sign for one of the following: Longest Drive, Closest to Pin, or Straightest Drive

- Golf playing spots are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
